ISBN–self published
Based on her own family relationships, Camilla Pavlikova wants to work with visual reflections on how upbringing and history lay the foundation for identity and self-image.
Otrava is Slovak for a child who nags and is annoying at the same time.
In "Otrava", the author has worked with analogue photographs, drawings, paintings, diary notes, short prose and newly written drama to investigate how she relates to her background, what prerequisites one has to feel connected to one's family, and to being a mother and daughter. But first and foremost, "Otrava" is a rebellion against Camilla´s own upbringing.
